Spent several years with his hometown Widnes Vikings club, then had a change of direction when he signed to play RU with Northampton. Didn’t like the 15-a-side code and returned north to play for St Helens (briefly) and then Salford City Reds before deciding to throw in his lot with the Roughyeds.
Tom had a great game on trial with the Reserves and then signed a pro contract to join the first-team squad. Did well in his early games and quickly established himself as an impact forward coming off the bench.
