Tetley’s Challenge Cup fifth round

Leeds Rhinos and St Helens will do battle in the fifth round of the Tetley’s Challenge Cup after the Super League rivals were paired together in an intriguing draw.Both Leeds and Saints defeated Super League opposition in the fourth round, albeit in very different manner with the Rhinos winning 60-6 at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and St Helens coming away from Huddersfield Giants with a 17-16 victory.
The match is one of three all-Super League ties in the last 16 of Rugby League’s oldest and most prestigious knockout competition, which climaxes with the 2014 Tetley’s Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday August 23.
At least two Championship clubs are assured a placed in the quarter-finals after Leigh Centurions were drawn at home to Featherstone Rovers and Swinton Lions were paired with Keighley Cougars.
Ties will be played over the weekend of April 25-27 with one tie screened live on BBC1 on Saturday April 26 at 2.30pm.  Details of the televised tie will be announced shortly.
