OLDHAM Rugby League Club expect to announce more signings this week as they continue to build a squad which they believe will be competitive in the Championship next season.

Including four newcomers, 16 players have been named so far — eight forwards and eight backs.
Playing for newly-promoted Roughyeds for the first time will be winger Jamel Chisholm from York City Knights, half-back Danny Grimshaw from Hunslet Hawks, second-row forward Craig Briscoe from Barrow Raiders and prop Jack Spencer from Halifax.
The others have signed new contracts, all of them one-year agreements apart from second-row pair Danny Langtree and Josh Crowley (two years) and new-boy Spencer, whose one-year deal has an option for 2017.
Backs: Chisholm, Lewis Palfrey, Tom Ashton, Adam Clay, Grimshaw, Richard Lepori, Jack Holmes, Sammy Gee.
Forwards: Langtree, Crowley, Briscoe, Phil Joy, Spencer, Gareth Owen, Michael Ward, Adam Files.
