Season Ticket update

OLDHAM RL Club expect brisk business on 2014 seat season ticket sales in the next 24 hours.

Seats at Whitebank are limited in number and those that were occupied last season go on open sale on Monday if not renewed by 5pm tomorrow.

Using fans’ purchase patterns in recent years as a guide, club officials anticipate a late rush by those wishing to keep the same seats.

To beat the cut-off point, fans can renew by post (cheque only) to Oldham RLFC, c/o Oasis Academy Oldham, Hollins Road, Oldham OL8 4JZ.

Alternatively, they can pay by cash or cheque over the counter at the Whitebank ground tomorrow between 11.30am and 1pm.

“All categories of season tickets are selling steadily, similar to previous years, but we expect brisk business on seat renewals in the next 24 hours,” said club chairman Chris Hamilton.

From Monday, all unclaimed seats will be on sale at £115 for ten home league games with seats for over-65s and students under 18 going for £100 and those for under-16s on offer at £45.

There is no increase on last year’s prices for those or for standing tickets at £100 adults, £80 concessions and £25 for under-16s.

Tickets are available at these prices until 5pm on Friday, December 20 and can be bought at Whitebank any Monday, Wednesday or Friday up to then between the times given above.

“Prices have hardly changed for the past two or three years,” added the chairman. “We surprised a lot of people last season by finishing second and going through to the play-off final and we like to think that, over the whole season, our young squad gave excellent value for money.

“Most of those players are still with us, as are coaches Scott Naylor and Lee Spencer in whom everybody at the club has the greatest confidence.

“We’ve also brought in five new signings, and in all probability there will be more to come.

“Clubs like Hunslet Hawks and York City Knights, coming down from the Championship, will bring something different to the division, which is going to be just as competitive as last year, if not more so.

“We have every reason to believe, however, that we can look forward to another exciting season with the backing of fans old and new.”
