Roughyeds Update

The club has confirmed admission prices for the home friendly game against St Helens next Friday 27th January kick off 8.00pm

Reduced prices of £10 adults, £8 concessions and £2 for under 16s will hopefully attract fans to a game which will be the only home fixture in the lead up to the 2012 season proper.

The £2 transfer into the seats will still apply and seats will be sold on a first come first served basis including those normally allocated to season tickets holders. As this is a friendly match season tickets will not be valid for this game.

Chairman Christopher Hamilton said ” this is an important game for us not least because it is now our only home fixture prior to the start of the season proper but because of the quality of the opposition. You always know that any Saints team will be well coached and with the amount of full time professionals and players who have Super League experience, albeit limited, under their belt it will be a stern test for our players but one which they are looking forward to with relish.

This is an important part of the pre season build up and people know there is no such thing as a friendly in rugby league and with the competition for places in the squad we can expect to see players making a determined bid to win one of the 17 shirts on offer come 12th February.

We hope fans will make the effort to get to the game to see players old and new in action at home for the first time in 2012.”

The club is also offering fans the chance to take places in the sponsors suite where soup and a hot roast sandwich will be served together with two free drink tokens all for the price of £20 per head. Pre and post match presentations will also take place in here and to book places on this please phone the office on 0161 628 3677. Places must be booked before noon on Thursday.
