Reserves this Friday kick off now 7.30

JOHN Hough’s Roughyeds’ Reserves, beaten 36-12 at Whitehaven on Saturday, entertain Dewsbury Rams at Whitebank this Friday night (kick-off 7.30pm).

Please note the change of kick-off time. The game has been billed all along as having an 8.00pm kick-off, but Roughyeds requested the earlier start a few days ago and Dewsbury were happy to fall in line.

Reserves will be keen to return to winning ways after their four-match victory run ended up in Cumbria last weekend when the squad was unlucky to suffer a series of injuries which disrupted plans to combat a strong Whitehaven side.

Houghie and the boys are hoping for a good turn-out of fans on Friday in their bid to pick up two more valuable points in their quest to reach the Reserves Division play-offs at the end of the season.

Their record to date is played eight, won five, lost three, but of their four games at Whitebank they have recorded wins against York, Hunslet and Sheffield and have been beaten only by high-flying Featherstone.

They have also won on the road at York and Hunslet and have built a reputation for playing good, crowd-pleasing rugby.

As the first team is up at Gateshead on Sunday, Friday night will be a good opportunity for Roughyeds fans to get back into the groove after the mini-break and come along to Whitebank to take a look at what the Reserves have to offer.

Please spread the word about the change of kick-off time. It is now 7.30pm.
