Hunslet Hawks v Oldham

(South Leeds Stadium, Good Friday, 2pm)

Liam Mackay faces a late fitness test to determine his availability for Hunslet Hawks’ Kingstone Press Championship One fixture with Oldham.

Hawks coach Barry Eaton has revealed that Mackay, who trained on Tuesday, will be assessed tonight ahead of the crunch clash.

Eaton said: “Before the season got underway the perception was that ourselves, Oldham and York City Knights were favourites for the competition, and that seems to be panning out.

“Oldham must have been good last week to rack up 52 points against Gateshead Thunder. They’ll be very positive on Friday and we’ll have to be ready for that.”

Oldham coach Scott Naylor is aware of the threat posed to his side’s unbeaten record in league fixtures this year.

Naylor said: “It’s going to be our toughest game of the season. We’ll need all hands on deck.”

Adam Files and David Cookson could both be in contention, but Liam Thompson remains sidelined.
