ORSA’s new chairman

LIFELONG fan John McAndrew is the new chairman of the Oldham Roughyeds Supporters’ Association (ORSA), succeeding Nigel Marland, who died in January.
Aged 71, John lives in Royton and is closely associated with the parent club, Oldham RLFC, as its Club Cash lottery co-ordinator.
He was previously ORSA’s vice-chairman — a role now filled by Phil Ward, father of Michael Ward, the Roughyeds’ forward.
Said John: “I will strive to carry on all the good work that was done during Nigel’s chairmanship as we give as much support as we can to the club, players and backroom staff.”
