ORSA meeting this Friday

Oldham Roughyeds Supporters Association (ORSA) meets at Whitebank this Friday night, Feb 4, at 8pm. New supporters can join on the night for a minimum annual subscription of £10 adults, £7.50 concessions and students and £5 under-16s.

ORSA has already donated £405 to the club to purchase a new pitch marker for the Whitebank Stadium and the long-term objective of the association is to build in numbers sufficiently so that the association can support the club at all times, methods to be decided by the members.

On Friday’s agenda will be items such as election of officers for 2011; updates on accounts and donation for equipment; future fund-raising; community partnerships.

Said Paul Whalley, man behind the birth of ORSA: “On the eve of a brand-new season we hope to get a good turn-out at Whitebank on Friday. Anyone interested in coming along — whether they are members or people who might be interested in becoming members — will be made most welcome.

“Our objectives are to build a vibrant supporters’ organisation which is committed to helping the club with all major decisions to be made by the members.”
