ON behalf of the players and coaching staff, head coach Scott Naylor has publicly thanked the Oldham Roughyeds’ Supporters’ Association (ORSA) for funding the squad’s nutritional requirements and helping in other ways during the marvellous promotion season that has just ended.

“What ORSA did for us was phenomenal,” said Scott, in backing the association’s drive for more members as the club looks ahead to life in the 12-club Kingstone Press Championship, with games against the likes of Bradford Bulls, London Broncos, Featherstone Rovers, Halifax, Leigh   Centurions, Sheffield Eagles etc, in 2016.
Annual membership fee is £10 for adults, £7.50 for over-60s and £5 for under-16s and anyone who wishes to join, or find out more, is asked to contact the secretary, Grant Somerville, on 01706 844810.
Thanks to fans who generously supported their match-day fund raising, ORSA was able to provide substantial funding to cover the costs of the squad’s nutritional requirements as well as paying for training kit for those players who were added to the squad late in the season for the final promotion push.
ORSA now hopes to extend its membership as the Championship beckons and trusts that fans will recognise the benefits of what can be achieved by its members,
In a message to fans ORSA say: “Membership does not require you to do anything other than pay your membership fee, but if you can help in a more practical way you would be most welcome to do so.
“We all have a common goal in wanting to take the club forward and the team’s success in 2015 has given us the opportunity we have been waiting for.
“By joining ORSA you can make a difference, so please give ORSA your support  and help us to continue to make a difference.”
