TWO Oldham-born players and a former Watersheddings youngster figure in the top ten all-time Super League leading points scorers, released by the RFL today.

Paul Deacon, who began his career at ‘Sheddings, became a Bradford Bulls legend and is now at Wigan Warriors, tops the charts with 2,395.

Oldham-born Kevin Sinfield, skipper of Leeds Rhinos, is in second place with 2,378, while another ‘local’, Iestyn Harris, formerly of Warrington, Leeds and Bradford, lies sixth with 1,674.

Sinfield needs only 14 more goals to smash the Leeds record for goals in a career, currently held by the legendary Lewis Jones.
