Oldham reserves get break at Marios

COACH John Hough gave his Oldham Rugby League Club reserves squad a break from pre-season training to enjoy a Christmas bonding session away from the gym, training pitch and tackle bags.

They spent an evening at the Manchester Paint Balling Arena in Chadderton and then topped it off with a meal at Mario’s Italian restaurant in Yorkshire Street, Oldham.

“It was a brilliant evening, and we were well looked after,” said John, whose reserves have been working hard in pre-season training for several weeks.

The season begins in early March, but Hough plans to look at his young hopefuls in three pre-season friendlies, details of which will be announced shortly.
