ROUGHYEDS’ full-back Paul O’Connor and prop Jason Boults are close to joining the ten players who have chalked up more than 100 appearances in cup and league for the ‘new’ Oldham club, now in its 13th season.

O’Connor, who has scored 44 tries for Roughyeds since making his debut in 2006, will be on game 98 against Blackpool at Whitebank on Sunday, while Boults will be just three appearances behind him, having first burst on to the Roughyeds scene in 2007.

Stand-off Neil Roden, with 241 Oldham games under his belt, is way out in front, and will be expecting to add to his tally soon.

John Hough, now coach of the reserves, weighed in with 228 but he and Roden are the only two to have topped 200.

The century makers were Jason Clegg (147), Gareth Barber (138), Gavin Dodd (131), Phil Farrell (124), Lee Doran (112), John Goddard (110), Danny Guest (104) and Joe McNicholas (103).
