ORSA Squad Strengthener

ORSA have now agreed to run The SQUAD STRENGTHENER for a trial period of twelve months.  It will be used solely to fund the wages of new players through the 2012 season.
Already, in its very early stages, we have been able to help fund the acquisition of Miles Greenwood.
We now want to launch this officially and gain as many members as possible, in this season, when it is essential to gain that vital promotion place into the Championship before the reorganization of Championship 1 takes place.  With four promotion places available there will never be a better time to get out of Championship 1.
Already the club has, despite its limited resources, brought together an excellent squad of players, combining up and coming young local talent with some old heads to give the squad experience.  But we have no doubt that, if more funds were available, the squad could be strengthened further for the start of the season and for mid season signings necessitated through injuries etc.
The club has not only to fund its first team squad but also the development of Whitebank and the reserve and scholarship squads.  With the limited number of home games this season this is going to be a very difficult task.
We are therefore asking individuals, associations and businesses to donate at least £5 per month (there is no maximum!!!!) by direct debit for at least twelve months and these monies will be used solely for the funding of new players brought into the club after the official setting up of the RSS.
People may donate a lump sum for the twelve month period if they prefer.
Remember the more members we have the bigger contribution we can make to the success of the team.  This is your opportunity to make a real difference.  I know times are hard but hope you will find it possible to help make the 2012 ROUGHYED SQUAD STRENGTHENER a real success story.
I enclose a membership form with standing order details.  These should be filled in and signed and sent to Sheila Somerville, 48 Great Meadow, Shaw, OLDHAM, OL2 7PX, as should any cheques which should be made out to ORSA.
