Law Cup info

FANS are reminded that the forthcoming Law Cup clash with our derby rivals Rochdale Hornets at Whitebank on Sunday, January 2 (3pm kick off) is an all-pay game.

Turnstile admission prices for this history-making clash, which will indeed be a throwback to yesteryear, will be £10 adults, £8 concessions (over-65s) and £4 under-16s.

It will be the first time in the 14-year history of Oldham RLFC (1997) Ltd that the club has been in a position to stage a pre-season tester on its own ground in Oldham — and when you consider also that the game will be played in the middle of winter it is bound to stir a lot of memories of exciting games at Watersheddings over the festive period.

Prior to kick-off fans will be able to watch the stars of tomorrow from the two competing towns — namely the Oldham and Rochdale Service Area youngsters — going head to head in nine-a-side games played under modified rules.

Our coach Tony Benson won’t name his Oldham squad for the game until later, but there is every likelihood that it will contain some, if not all, of the six new signings made for 2011.

As season tickets do not apply to this match there will be no reserved seating. Admission to seats will be subject to a £2 transfer on a first-come basis.
