England Knights’ Iain Thornley is looking forward to facing Samoa as part of the international double-header at Salford City Stadium on Saturday October 19 (2.00pm).

Thornley, fresh from winning the Super League Grand Final with Wigan Warriors, will line up against Samoa in the first of two international friendlies at the same venue on the same day.

“Samoa have a lot of NRL players in their side so it’s going to be a tough test,” said Thornley.

England Knights were formed a couple of years ago, with the aim to develop a stepping stone for the best young English talent from club and international age-group Rugby League, to the full international side.
