HOW TO GET THERE:

 

Travel and arrive early.  Please do not plan to arrive close to the kick-off times as traffic in the area will be heavy and delays are inevitable. Further travel info can we found on our web site

 

Bus

The main bus services that run from the city centre are the 19 from the Railway station and the 56 from Eastgate or Albion Street outside the Light Building.

 

Train

Leeds City Railway Station is situated in the heart of the city centre adjacent to Leeds City Square. Local stations close to Headingley Carnegie Stadium are Burley Park and Headingley, within five to ten minutes walking distance.

 

Car

From M1 and M62 – Take M621 – Leave at junction 2, signposted Headingley Carnegie Stadium. Follow the A643 (A58) Wetherby Road – at the next roundabout take the City Centre/Wetherby A58 exit. Almost immediately, bear left to Ilkley (A65) and the airport. At the lights (TGI Friday’s is on the left), turn left into Kirkstall Road A65. Go straight on for about 0.75 mile (Yorkshire Television is on the right). There is a sign at the traffic lights showing “Headingley 1.5 miles”. Stay in the right-hand lane. Turn right and go up the hill to another set of traffic lights at the crossroads. Carry straight on up Cardigan Road (Coop is on the left). After the pedestrian lights and bus stop turn left into St Michael’s Lane, signposted Headingley Stadium. The Ground is on your right. The only available parking at the stadium is for pass holders only. (Please note Leeds Rhinos season car parking passes are not valid for this match). Parking for fans is in the residential streets around the stadium however some do have parking restrictions so please be aware of these local byelaws.

Spectators with disabilities

 

  • There are a limited number of dedicated accessible car parking spaces on-site, located in the main car park off St Michael’s Lane.  Additional car parking  may be available but would not be dedicated accessible spaces
  • Accessible car parking is issued on a first come, first served basis

Info about Headingley Stadium

  • The Western terrace houses the clubs brand new, permanent big screen.
  • Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire Carnegie share a club shop in between the North and Carnegie stands.
  • This is also where the Leeds Rugby ticket office is situated. Access to the ticket office can either be via St. Michael’s Lane or at the transfer windows on the inside of the ground on match days only. 

 

Food & Drink

  • The North Stand has two bars – the Grandstand Bar and the Sports Bar.
  • The new Carnegie Stand has a concourse bar on the seating level and a concession bar at the southeast end of the terrace.
    • There are also mobile catering facilities situated around the stadium.
    • Concession units inside the stadium serving alcohol, food and soft drinks will be open from turnstiles and will close permanently approximately 10 minutes into the second-half of the Championship Grand Final.  The Stadium reserves the right to instruct the cessation of alcohol earlier if necessary. 
    • Alcoholic drinks, purchased at the Stadium, are allowed to be taken into the stadium bowl

  • The Stadium and the RFL reserve the right to refuse admission to, or  eject from the Ground any person
    • Who is dressed in a manner which is considered inappropriate, offensive or distasteful
    • Considered dangerous to either their own safety or the safety of other spectators
    • Who attempts to enter the Stadium, or to eject any person who appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
    • Alcohol purchased externally is not allowed to be brought into the stadium
    • Headingley Carnegie Stadium is a non-smoking venue, smoking is not permitted in any areas within the Stadium – anyone found to be in contravention of this regulation will be ejected from the premises.
    • Fireworks, smoke canisters, knives, bottles, glasses, cans, or other articles which might be used as a weapon, missile, or used to cause annoyance are not permitted within the Ground and will be confiscated
    • The use of air horns, klaxons, whistles, vuvuzalas and any other item likely to cause confusion, annoyance or nuisance of any kind are not permitted in any part of the ground – spectators should not purchase any of these said items from unofficial merchandisers as they will be confiscated
    • The use of foul and abusive language, obscene or racial chanting or racial abuse towards any person is strictly forbidden.  The RFL & Headingley Carnegie stadium operate a zero tolerance policy and anyone in breach of this policy will be ejected from the premises.
    • Unauthorised persons are strictly forbidden from entering the field of play at any time.  Anyone doing so will be removed from the ground.
    • All spectators entering the stadium are admitted subject to the understanding that they may be required to submit to a search to prevent dangerous items being brought into the ground which might be used to cause injury or damage to other people of property
    • Collapsible viewing aids (steps/boxes etc.) are not allowed to be taken into the stadium
    • The obstructing of gangways, access ways, exits and entrances, stairways and such like is strictly forbidden
    • With the exception of authorised press representatives holding official passes, the taking of photographs or cine/video photography inside the ground is prohibited.
    • The throwing of any object or objects within the grounds is strictly forbidden
    • The stadium operates a rigorous Challenge 21 alcohol policy.  ID will be required if purchaser looks under 25
