ROUGHYEDS have several injury concerns as they look ahead to Sunday’s big top-three clash with Blackpool Panthers at Whitebank (3.00pm kick off).

Hooker Martin Roden, who damaged an ankle at Workington and had to quit with only 20 minutes on the clock, is the biggest doubt.

He will be in for treatment and rehab all week and he will be going flat out to make it. “I would love to play in this one,” said Roden.

Centre Mick Fogerty was taken off near the end as a precautionary measure when he reported severe cramp in his legs.

Full-back Paul O’Connor and prop Dave Ellison will be checked out after taking knocks to the head, while Matty Ashe, Jason Boults and Ben Heaton┬áreported upper-body┬ámuscular injuries.

“We’ve quite a few players we will need to look at this week,” said coach Tony Benson, “but we’ll be fit and ready to go by weekend.”
