Info for Fans

FANS should note that our game at Blackpool later this month has been switched from Saturday, July 24 to Sunday, July 25 with a 3.00pm kick-off.

The request came from Blackpool who have been told that their ground is unavailable on the Saturday.

It means we will be at the seaside on two successive weekends because we are also in Blackpool on Saturday, July 17 for the Northern Rail Nines at the Memorial Ground, home of Fylde RU Club, where Panthers play their home games.

Tickets for the Nines are on sale at discounted prices at the Roughyeds’ office in Lansdowne Road, Chadderton (tel: 0161 628 3677), which is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Purchase of a Nines ticket also provides a £5 discount on a ticket for the next day’s Northern Rail Cup final between Widnes and Batley at Bloomfield Road.

++Our junior season ticket holders going to Gateshead on Sunday are advised to use the Leigh ticket from their books, this because they were printed before the decision was taken to place Gateshead in our division and keep Leigh in the Championship.

++A reminder also that tomorrow night’s reserve team game against Dewsbury Rams at Whitebank will now kick off at 7.30pm. As usual, the club will be open, as will the refreshment hut inside the ground.

And for the first time alcohol will be on sale INSIDE the ground, this because the club has now received its full liquor licence which enables that to take place and also for the club to have draught beer on sale at all times.
