Have your say at Voice of the Fans

First Utility Super League General Manager Blake Solly will be the Keynote speaker at the Voice of the Fans 2014 event hosted by Supporters Direct at Heritage Quay, University of Huddersfield on Saturday October 25.

The event provides a platform for Rugby League fans to debate the key issues and challenges facing the modern game.

Blake Solly will open the event at 1.00pm with his speech about forthcoming changes to the league structure before closing the event with a fans consultation.

Supporters will be given the chance to speak to the General Manager directly about what The RFL can do better, what they should be focussing on and how they need to change to be more accountable to all supporters of the sport in the future.

The RFL considers the fans of the game as the most important stakeholders and consulted heavily with supporters over the new restructuring. This event is seen as an opportunity to further strengthen these relationships, especially ahead of an exciting new era for Rugby League.

Attendees will also be taken around different workshops, learning about the Rugby League Heritage Programme, Rugby League Cares and about how Supporters Direct can help them and their clubs.

The Heritage Quay venue is now home to the new lottery funded Heritage Collection, showcasing historical artefacts and memorabilia from 1895 to present day and so is a fitting venue to talk about how Rugby League can move forward and expand.

Tickets are available from just £5 per person and include lunch. Don’t miss your chance to have your say. Book tickets at www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sd-rugby-league-development-day-tickets-12854621519.
