Danny’s fight for fitness

NEW-BOY Danny Grimshaw will be given a fitness test at training tomorrow ahead of Oldham RL Club’s KP Championship opener against London Broncos

One of four new signings, the 29-year-old former York and Hunslet half-back has been in fine fettle in the pre-season games, but he is doubtful with a lower-leg injury for Sunday’s visit of the Broncos to Bower Fold, Stalybridge (3pm).
“He hasn’t trained this week, but we’ll take another look at him tomorrow and make a decision then,” said coach Scott Naylor.
With no dual-registration involvement and Craig Briscoe (knee) already ruled out, Naylor will pick from 20.
