Castleford Tigers stand-off Rangi Chase has been banned for three games by the RFL Disciplinary Committee and will miss Castleford’s Stobart Super League game against Warrington Wolves on Sunday.

Chase was found guilty of a Grade C offence for striking Featherstone Rovers winger Tangi Ropati in a reckless manner in the 61st  minute of their Carnegie Challenge Cup tie on Saturday.

Chase, who pleaded guilty to the charge, was also fined £300 by the panel.

Catalan Dragons prop David Ferriol has avoided suspension after he appeared before the panel charged with the Grade A offence of use of the knees on Hull KR’s Rhys Lovegrove. He was however fined £300.
