NORTH Wales Crusaders became the first side this season to win in the league at Whitebank when they produced the shock of the round to score seven tries to Roughyeds’ six and to return to Wrexham with the Welsh flag flying high.
In their previous game a fortnight ago they were trounced 58-0 at Workington so this very worthy win represented a massive swing in fortunes and one that, understandably, put a huge smile on the face of coach Clive Griffiths. Continue Reading
THE Roughyeds’ interest in Carnegie Challenge Cup 2012 came to an end in the impressive new Langtree Park stadium on Friday night, April 27, when we went down fighting against the super stars of Super League club St Helens, losing 76-0.
Despite that scoreline our boys won many new friends for their sheer commitment to the cause on a night which has to be viewed as a more than successful conclusion to our Challenge Cup ‘journey’ this year. Continue Reading
