The draw for the third round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup has been completed at Whitehaven’s Recreation Ground in Cumbria and will see 1952 Cup winners Workington Town host Batley Bulldogs in the stand-out clash of the round.

In the only other all-Championships tie in the round, defending Northern Rail Cup winners Leigh Centurions face a tough trip to take on a London Skolars side who have impressed so far this season.

Last season’s NCL Premier champions Thatto Heath Crusaders will travel to take on Championship opponents Dewsbury Rams while the only remaining armed forces team in the competition, The Royal Navy, face a tough away trip to Hunslet Hawks.

French sides Toulouse Olympique and FC Lezignan will travel to face North Wales Crusaders and Barrow Raiders, respectively.

The ties will be played over the weekend of March 24/25.
