Congrats to our reserve team stand-off Ethan Langhorn, who was named Halifax Home Insurance National Youth League player of the month for March. In a double for Saddleworth Rangers, coach Phil Costin -- a keen Roughyeds fan and a member of the Five Alive lottery -- won the coach's award.

At the start of March Rangers languished in 13th place, but an amazing run of five straight wins -- the last thee of them in a hectic six days -- saw them clinch the final play-off spot.

They beat Leigh Miners Rangers 24-16, Kells of Cumbria 30-14, Rylands of Warrington 13-6, Elland 30-12 and Waterhead 18-16.

Ethan earned his award with three man-of-the-match performances, while Phil got he coach's accolade thanks to the team's incredible surge into the play-offs and some bold selection decisions which turned around the team's fortunes.

Don't forget that our Reserves are in action again this Thursday night against Leigh Centurions at Sedgley Park, kick off 7.30pm. Admission is £4 adults, £2 concessions and secure parking is available inside the ground for £1 with all proceeds going to the Roughyeds.
