QUALIFICATION for the quarter-finals of the Northern Rail Cup for
the first time has come at a price for the Roughyeds, who now face a
tough trip to play Gateshead Thunder on Tyneside for a night match
in midweek.
The game at The Thunderdome was originally scheduled for Saturday,
May 24 with a 6.30pm kick-off, but Oldham will now be involved in
the last eight of the Northern Rail Cup on the following day,
Sunday, May 25, so the match in the North-East has had to be
rearranged.
It will now take place on Wednesday evening, June 4 (kick off
7.30pm).
Oldham's next opponents in the Northern Rail Cup will be known on
Thursday evening when the draw is made during half-time in the
Dewsbury v Batley NL1 game to be televised live by Sky.
